Hope I can get an answer/fix to an issue I'm having with the App Insight for IIS monitor without having to open a Tech Support ticket. Here's the issue. I have several IIS servers that I have applied the App Insight for IIS monitor to. I have resorted to using the new agent because we don't have TCP port 5986 open for WinRM. To date I have applied the App Insight for IIS monitor to three servers. All three are configured identically and all three serve up the same web app. Access to the web site is via SSL only. We have a http redirect in-place just incase some one tries to come across via http. Access to the web console is normally done via a distributed director link e.g. app1.app.domain.com. But, some folks do use a direct url. Our SSL cert has a CN for the DD link "app1.app.domain.com" and then we have the "Subject Alternative Name" field populated with the CN for all of the individual web servers e.g. server1.domain.com, server2.domain.com. This prevents the certificate warning when users go directly for to the server url.
On one server the App Insight for IIS monitor is working like a champ. On the other two the App Insight for IIS monitor shows the sites as being down, which is not the case. The monitor is set up as shown in the screen shot below. I have checked, double checked and triple checked all of the settings and nothing between the server where the monitor is working and the servers where it is not is out of sync. I have several other web servers where I would like to deploy the App Insight for IIS monitor but until I get this issue fixed it would be a futile effort. These WEB servers serve up enterprise level apps so obviously the level of information gathered by the App Insight for IIS is dearly needed
IIS version is 8.5 running on Server 2012R2 (fully patched)
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
