Node Management

I have been searching for quite some time, and it appears the functionality I am looking for doesn't exist, so I am hoping someone can help.

I used a generated text list, and Network Discovery to add a large number of nodes to NPM and NCM. Some of the nodes existed previously, and the nodes are a non-contiguous subset of a larger group of nodes. Adding the nodes from a text file worked well, but now I want to manage properties on these nodes. Since the nodes are a non-contiguous subset of existing nodes, and they have no custom property or grouping, I can't find find an easy way in the web ui to edit just this set of nodes.

When I couldn't find a way to search for them in the manage nodes area, I thought grouping them in NPM would solve my problem. I tried to create a dynamic query, but since there isn't a common property, there wasn't any way I could find to create a dynamic query. So, I spent quite a bit of time adding each one individually to a NPM group. I then went back to manage nodes, and found out that all that work was worthless because I cant search manage nodes based on the NPM group?

I really have multiple questions:

1) Is there a way to manage nodes based on a list, similar to the functionality in Network Discovery?

2) Is there a way to add custom properties during a discovery?

3) Can NPM and NCM group management share functionality so we don't have to manage groups in two separate places?

4) If NPM and NCM can't share functionality, can we at least search or filter based on groups?

5) Can we make dynamic queries based on an input list?

6) Can we search based on an input list?

I am finding managing nodes extremely cumbersome, and am looking for recommendations on how to make it less so. I see quite a few feature requests similar to my questions, so I believe others are having similar issues.
