Morning Thwackers,
I'm having issues adding UDnP's to Hyper-V hosts. Initially I thought it may be a SNMP problem, but I've checked and SNMP is working fine between the poller and the target. SNMPWalk between the poller and the target does complete, allowing me to save the results with "No more variables left in this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree)" on the last line of the file.
Is there anything that could be blocking this? We have a legacy instance of SolarWinds here, which is able to assign UDnP pollers to the same device (NPM 10.5), but the new one (NPM 11.0.1) can't. The only thing I can think of is that the new instance also has SAM, and hence is polling for Hyper-V on that box. Perhaps you can only do one or the other...
I've not come across this before, so if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. If all else fails, it'll be a ticket to support ofc
EDIT: It's not just Hyper-V hosts which exhibit this behaviour. I have a number of other physical Windows servers, where SNMP is working, but I cannot assign UnDP to them. Puzzling!
