Sorry guys I'm fairly new to SolarWinds - I'm running Orion NPM and have a few PowerShell scripts running periodically populating a table I've created in the NPM SQL database.
What I'd like to happen is for SolarWinds to periodically query the SQL table and if the query returns anything (ie. returns more than zero rows) then it emails this output to my email address. I've written my query and it works great, I just don't know how to use it as an alert trigger.
I felt like this would surely be possible using the Advanced Alert Manager, but when I create a new alert it seems that it still needs a node property as the trigger, there's no way for me to specify a completely custom trigger.
Again I apologise and can only hope that this question makes some sense - I would be very grateful for any advice at all.
