I have seen a lot of questions regarding monitoring the message queue in Exchange. I have installed the Exchange 2010 Advanced Transport Role Counters template and configured the Largest Delivery Queue Length component and even set up an alert to send me an email me if the count in the queue got too high. And it all worked quite well with one exception. I found that the Largest Delivery Queue Length is only for line items in the message queue, not the total queue. Currently my Argent guy has an alert set up for me if the overall queues on the hub transport servers get to a certain threshold, and I thought I could set up the equivalent in SolarWinds. Unfortunately the closest I can find is the Largest Delivery Queue Length and not a component that monitors the entire queue. Does anyone have a resolution to this? Thank you.
