Creating an Active Alerts view based on Groups

Hi all,

I'm new to the community here so bare with me if I'm asking ridiculous or dead end scenarios..

I am trying to create a custom  "Active Alerts" view so that it only displays alerts from a certain group of nodes. I've already setup Custom Properties for these nodes.

Currently (by default) it displays all alerts from all groups in one window panel. Can anyone point me into the right direction? I've searched the forum but came up short.
