The question has been asked (by our Problem Manager) if we have a way to setup alerts that take into account if the alert has previously been triggered by that node/volume etc.
I see this as a Problem Management task within the ITSM tool. However I can see the benefit. If for example we have a disk that fills up, is cleared and the call closed. Then the next day same thing happens but someone else deals with it.
It might then be ok for a few days before it happens again.
And again
etc
We want to know if this is happening and alert on it, as in this instance we would be looking at why it is filling up and allocate more space rather than just attack the drive and delete anything that is not required.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
