Have you ever had the IT rug pulled out from under you?

I have experienced that--twice!  Once when 3Com closed their commercial class hardware development down, and a second time when Nortel's products hit the skids.  In both cases I was managing an all-3Com and all-Nortel network (two different employers).  In both cases I migrated everything to Cisco.
