Adding devices via Hostname or Range does not work, but 1 at a time does...

IPMonitor is really frustrating me.

I'm trying to add 5 devices to a group and when doing a network scan via the range or via the hostnames file it fails to connect.  However, when I do 1 by 1 it works fine.  Is this a known issue in 10.8.2?
