'Views by Device Type' stopped working, shows 'Machine Type' Unknown and defaults to generic nodes detail view after applying NPM hotfix 1 and 2

I have a number of device types associated with custom views that WERE working, that aren't anymore (APC airIRRP500Series, OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.3.14.7 ) and (Fortinet fgt100d, OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.1.1004). Not sure when this occurred, but A.) were working prior to recently upgrading Orion to latest versions.(10.7 to 11.5, to 11.5.2, NPM Hotfix 1, and NPM Hotfix2), and B.) there were also firmware updates to these devices.

1.) I can see they now defaulting these devices to the generic 'Node Details' view.

2.) SNMP string and creds are working

3.) In Orion Universal Device Poller, I see that OID's that have been assigned for years are collecting stats, and Orion can tell the 'Vendor' as American Power Conversion Corp, and Fortinet.

4.) In the generic view, under Machine Type, it shows the Vendor Icon, but Unknown.

5.) When I check one of our other instances that is at version 11.5.2, but has NOT yet applied Hotfix 1 or 2, Fortinet for machine type is showing up correctly.

For example, here's what we see for the APC airIRRP500Series on the Hotfix 2 for a couple of our instances.

APC node details machine type Unknown.PNG

APC node details machine type Unknown UnDP polling.PNG

Since this issue is consistent across both specific model types, for the same 'Unknown' status for Machine type, but all the OID's assigned are polling fine, but NOT showing up in Orions 'Views by Device Type' list anymore,  my hunch was it was something to do with the NPM NPM Hotfix 1 and 2 upgrades messing it up.

Any ideas, or suggestions appreciated!

Message was edited by: Doug Hilbert I just verified that 2 of our other instances which are at same NPM version 11.5.2, but DID NOT get the NPM core HOTFIX 1 or 2, are correctly reporting Fortinet correctly for Machine type, so I've opened a ticket with Solar Winds.
