Hi, we recently purchased the latest version of Solarwinds network manager, and I am in the process of creating alerts. In the old version of solarwinds, we created different alerts and had to add each individual device to the alert to be monitored. I wanted to see if it is possible to create a group and add device members to this group so that they are included in any alerts this group is being monitored for. Example: I created an alert for SQL Node down, SQL CPU High, SQL Memory used high... Now if I have 10 sql servers, I dont want to have to add all 10 to each alert, and even more, if I add more SQL servers, I dont want to have to add the new SQLs to each group. Is it possible to create a group "SQL Servers" then have each node from that group be monitored for each alert? This way, if I add another SQL server, all I need to do is add the server to the SQL group, and it gets included in all the alerts for my SQL servers group? Also, I dont want it so that I need the entire group to go down before I can get a node down alert.
I am not sure if I am being clear or describing exactly what I am looking for, so please let me know if you need more details or something clarified.
