I am wondering if there are any practical benefits to placing (grouping) certain nodes on certain polling engines in very large environments (100k elements)? Or do you just let them fall where they may?
Say for example if you had 6000 elements that are critical and/or need higher resolution (WAN interfaces) that you want shorter polling intervals or other differentiated treatment for than say the other 90k+ "normal" elements like LAN switching etc..Does keeping 'specials' all grouped together on their own APE make it any easier to administer alternate polling intervals or other nerd knobs?
